The Wellingborough Old Grammarians Association would like to invite you to take part in the third wOgAwOgA Walkabout. Walking on the countryside footpaths, bridleways and quiet lanes of Northamptonshire.

Walk date - Sunday 24th August 2008
Distances - Choice of 30km (18miles), 17Km (10.5 miles), 11Km (6.8 miles) or 5Km (3 miles)
Start – The Memorial Sports Field, Sywell Road, Wellingborough,
Northamptonshire NN8 6BS

Start times -

Walkers 30km 09.30am - 10.30am Runners 10.30 - 11.30am
Walkers 17km 10.00am - 11.30am Runners 10.30 - 11.30am
Walkers 11km 10.00am to Midday Runners 10.30 - Midday
Walkers 5km 10.00am to Midday (twice around the sports field)
Finish time - All walks 5:00pm


Cost - Walk with IVV stamp is £1.00

International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV) stamp is available.

Refreshments are on sale at the start and finish (a licensed bar will operate at the end of the walk).

The Rockingham Forest Walkers are a member club of the British Walking Federation (BWF90).

How to find the Memorial Sports Field
Leave the M1 at junction 15 and join the A45 east bound towards Northampton. Stay on the A45 for about 12 miles until you reach the Wilby roundabout on the outskirts of Wellingborough, turn left at this roundabout and follow the signs for 'Park Farm Industry'. When you reach the third roundabout take the first left into Sywell Road, go across the next roundabout and the ground is 700 yards on the right-hand side.
